Rocky1.jpg
Rocky was born est. Jan 1991. He showed up on our front porch on a Sunday morning, the morning that the Iraqi ground war started (Feb 1991). He was very young and still had milk breath. We have no idea where he came from. He had ice hanging on his hair, was wet, and cold. Of course, we couldn’t turn him away. He turned out kinda big ... but then ... so did we.

We had a great 12 1/2 years with Rocky. He was a very loyal and loving dog and he was always patient with Shannon as she followed him all around the yard. He was a good alert dog but I’m sure the letter carriers won’t miss him! ha Rocky developed a large tumor on his leg which grew even larger. He developed another tumor on his tail and in his last few days we suspect there were other internal problems as well. Rocky was put to rest on a very hot day in our back yard at 2:40 PM on 18JUL03. I had dug his grave the day before. He is buried in our back yard under the old Redbud tree.

Penny 1997.jpg
Penny was born in March of 1995. We got her from the Ponca City Humane Society. She has been a wonderful pet.

We had to have Penny put down on March 3, 2011 at age 16! Penny had become mostly blind, very hard of hearing and incontinent. She was a very sweet and wonderful pet and she gave us 16 years of joy.

Penny is buried under the Redbud tree in the SW corner of our Ponca City lot, right next to Rocky. I'll miss you Penny.
